Bella Borrowed It.....

A couple of times a week the smartest schnauzer in the world, Bella, will share with you a saying/quote she picked up somewhere.  The FIRST person to figure out who said it first and tell Mrs. B in-person, will get five points of extra credit.  It will not always appear on the same days each week, so be on the look-out for it.  Note:  The same student may only get the Bella Borrowed It answer no more than three times within one quarter.
Smartest schnauzer says:   Though sleep is called our best friend, it is a friend who often keeps us waiting!

Congratulations to SeCiliah Ferguson!  The speaker of the quote is Jules Verne.

Submit a sentence or two to Mrs. Botello sharing with us why you love to read.

"I love to read because it takes me to a place I've never been."  --Megan G.

"I love to read because it is interesting and it helps you to learn things."  --Korayma C.

"Reading is like entering a whole new world where everything is different and spectacular."  --Bekah W.

"I love to read because it helps me to escape and gives me a little bit of freedom."  --Kellie R.

"I love to read because when I have a problem, I can address it the same way my favorite character would."  --Monica F.

"I love to read because it's like watching a movie inside my head except the movie is a week long, and no matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old."  --Juleima J.

"I love reading because the words are like tiny pieces of a puzzle.  With the turn of a page, I can depict more and more of the bigger picture, and the best part is I am in charge of the whole process."  --Logan J.

"The reason I love to read is so I can travel the world, meet new people, create new ideas, and live vicariously through others all the while sitting in a comfortable chair."  --Mrs. Hayhurst

"The reason why I love to read is that when I read, I feel like I'm in the book.  I'm with the character."  --Katy F.

"Why I love to read is because it passes time and books are interesting."  --Zaliejah Y.

"I love to read because it sends me on an adventure.  It passes time."  --Alex H.

"I love to read because it takes me to a land of my own where my stresses go away and turn the next page to the next surprise."  --Mason L.

Student Donations to the Silly Joke Receptacle...

For example...

What part of the car is the laziest?
The wheels, because they are always tired!

or...

Why was the baby strawberry crying?

Because his mom and dad were in a jam.

I would tell you the fighting joke,

but I can't remember the "punch line".
